Data protection regulation - information about how your data may be used when you visit our website.

The Data Protection Regulation

According to EU law, you have the right to request information about how and when your data - also known as personal data - is processed (collected, used, stored) by organizations. You also have the right to know the details and purpose of the processing. Some of our services on our website require the use of your personal information. In these cases, there are links available on each page that will redirect you to the specific information relevant in the Data Protection Regulation. Here we give you a general overview of some of the cases where our website handles your personal information as well as the use of cookies and social media.

You have the right to have access to your information, to correct your information and to ask us to delete your information if you believe that your data protection right has been abused;

We do not save your information longer than necessary, for the specific purpose for which it was originally collected;

However, we may save your information for a longer period for e.g. historical, statistical or scientific purposes, with appropriate safeguards;

 

Cookies

Cookies are short text files that are saved on a user's device (e.g. computer, tablet or mobile) by a website and are used for the technical functionality of a website and to collect statistics. Cookies are mostly used to give the user a more personal use of the website. A cookie is a small piece of data that a website saves on the visitor's computer or mobile device. For example; When an online service remembers your login information and logs you in automatically. When you visit our website, it may happen that we collect data from your browser such as e.g. IP address, websites you have visited, when you visited the website and which website you were redirected from. This information is used to collect aggregated and anonymous statistics with the aim of improving our services and to be able to improve the customer's user experience. When you visit this website, we will save your browsing history for a maximum of 13 months. This information will then be deleted. If you wish to remove your data from our anonymous, aggregated statistics, you can contact us by e-mail.

 

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files that are created on your computer, to help the website analyze how a user uses the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. When IP anonymization is activated, Google will truncate / anonymize the last octet of the IP address for EU member states and for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the entire IP address sent to and shortened by Google's servers in the USA. On behalf of the website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for website operators and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we point out that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website.

 

Turn off

By default, the browser's website visit experience is tracked by Google Analytics in order to produce anonymized statistics. In addition, you can prevent Google's collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser program available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Please note that on this website the Google Analytics code is supplemented with "gat._anonymizeIp ();" to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). 'Do Not Track' settings

Do Not Track is a feature that allows visitors to opt out of being tracked by websites for all purposes, including the use of analytics services, advertising networks and social platforms. Complaint handling

What type of personal data is handled by the website? We only process personal data submitted by our website users. This includes names; contact details and the content of the allegations (only if the latter qualifies as personal data).

 

Who can get my personal data?

The case file containing your personal data is available to the relevant staff. All permissions to the file are logged.

 

What are my rights?

You have legitimate access to your personal data that we have collected about you and to have it amended if necessary. In some cases, you also have the right to block your data or delete or object to its handling. For more information, please see Clauses 13 to 19 of the regulation. To exercise any of these rights please contact us via our contact form. We will respond within three months. Please note that in some cases restrictions under Clause 20 may apply.
